The ingredient which is required in large amount by the dogs is the calcium content. Calcium forms the base of bones and teeth. The body of dog requires a certain amount of calcium which needs to be fulfilled daily. If the calcium intake is less or more it has its corresponding worse effects. Hence it is needed that your pet gets the required amount of calcium through diet. If the dog has calcium in required amounts then it has strong bones and teeth. To maintain the condition of bones and teeth, you need to provide your pet with proper nutrition having a balance of calcium content as well.
As we are aware of the famous theory that too much or too less is not good for health. Same theory applies for pets as well. Do not give too much or too less calcium content to your lovely pet. If the calcium content goes down in your pet, there is a condition called rickets. Dogs are affected by rickets due to low calcium level. In this condition, the bones become so soft that they tend to break easily.
