Most of the part of Finland is quiet land. Myriad of lakes and forest make Finland a country with vast natural assets. You will see towns which are always crowded with tourists. Dilapidated cottage by lake and properly stoked sauna is the common characteristics of this country. Both professional and leisurely sailors and fishermen find the coastal region as a paradise during the months of midnight sun. You would also enjoy a lot in the Inland which is Europe’s largest wilderness where thousands of trekkers land in every year.
Finland is also known as the City of Water due to the presence of thousands of lakes. The country is made up of a large number of islands as opposed to continuous land. The Saimaa Lake in Finland is the fifth largest lake in Europe. The lakes are surrounded by beautiful holiday cottages that can be rented direct from the holiday home owners.
Another Finnish city that has invested heavily in the future of Finland’s casinos is the Arkipelag Hotel and Casino in Mariehamn. We are attracted by a few women dressed in nation clothes when we just step onto Seurasaari after going across the long white bridge. They are wearing white blouses with flowery one-piece dress, head with colorful scarf and flower basket in hand. They attract a lot of travelers to take photos with them as they are so beautiful under the blue sky.
Another wonderful water park is found in Nokia, 15 kilometers from Tampere. The park is called Rantasipi Eden and there are also lots of interesting and useful things to see and to do. Those are warm and cold swimming pools, water slides, special constructions for mountain climbers. Relax in Finnish saunas and Jacuzzi, take relaxation and cosmetic treatment. Aromatherapy and hydromassage fill you with optimism and inner harmony.
But Helsinki is a modern bustling city, generating about a third of Finland’s wealth, and accounting for about a quarter of the entire population of Finland. There is a rich culture to be found in Helsinki, starting with the National Museum of Finland. The building itself is quite a work of art, but you could easily spend a full day inside. The University of Helsinki also has many museums of worth, including the Natural History Museum and the University Museum.
You might know Oulu from the Air Guitar World Championships, held their annually. Although there is much culture based around contemporary rock music, not to fear if you’re not a rock fan. There is a constant stream of concerts in Oulu covering every sort of music, from jazz to classical and rock.
It is luxuriously decorated by various molded ornaments, with the fine gilt. The ceiling is of a special interest. Four pictures by Lefler in the form of a locket (medallion) are in its basis. The scenes from the works are Syakespeare: “Hamlet”, “A Dream in the Summer Night”, “The Winter Fairytale” & “As You like It”, is depicted on them. A big chandelier in the center of the ceiling strikes by its drake of tracery details. There are many different stucco moldings in the hall and in all the circles.
