The Euro 2012 Tickets resale is open now! The final tournament of 2012 UEFA European football championship will be hosted by Poland and Ukraine during June 2012. The 14th European championship was sanctioned by the Union of European football Association (UEFA). On the 1st of March 2011, the Euro 2012 tickets went on sale. The opening round of the sales was to run until the 31st of March. The tickets can be booked through the official UEFA Euro 2012 tickets portal. Around one and a half million tickets are available, including all the matches at specified venues. Considering the fact that there are limited tickets and higher demand, fan zones have been planned in the host cities.
A maximum of 4 tickets can be booked per application and only one price category per match is allowed. Individual match tickets (IMT) are available for specific matches. They are further divided into 3 categories based on different price ranges. Price ranges for the same category differs for opening match, group matches, quarter finals, semi finals and finals. The categories are broadly defined as follows – Category 1 includes main and opposite stand. Its opening match rate is 250 and for final is 600 . Category 2 IMTs are for the locations at the corner and behind the goals on the upper tiers. Its opening match rate is 140 and Final match rate is 330 . Category 3 is situated behind the goal on the lower tier. Its rates are cheapest at 45 for opening and 50 for final match. Also, few seats have been reserved for physically challenged and those who have visual or hearing impairment. Those who require a wheelchair will have a space reserved for them and a person accompanying them. The tickets for disabled supporters will be sold at category 3 rates regardless of their location. Moreover, the Euro 2012 tickets for the person accompanying them will be complimentary.
All tickets must be paid for by credit cards in Euros. Ticket sales stand final after payments. To reduce the black marketing activities, tickets will be dispatched only a few weeks before the tournament. To apply for tickets for Euro 2012 one is required to create a personal account on the UEFA ticket portal to view the availability of tickets. The resale opportunity offered at the ticket portal of UEFA Euro 2012 is the only way of buying and selling the tickets one does not want to use.
