New to LA ‘transplants’ with big spirits and dreams flock daily in the thousands to Hollywood. Acclimating to LA and to Hollywood isn’t easy for someone from out of town. Adjusting to clubbing in Hollywood nightlife scene is no different. Just like in the the Hollywood entertainment industry you will have to be connected to get into the hottest clubs. If you don’t know anyone and don’t know who to ask for to get in you’ll have to get bottle service. If you have money or connections, or both, you can make alot of things happen in LA. First, figure out what kind of night you want whether you are new to LA or and just moved to LA or not. Do you want the R&B and hip hop club and crowd? Do you want the celebrity studded crowd? Do you want a rocker crowd?
Then, based on the crowd and style you want for the night you have to figure out your own status and priorities. Each club has different crowds and events each night. One night at the same club can be completely different than other nights.
Now you have figure out how much work going to your first choice will be. Then you need to figure out your own situation… such as how your guy/girl ratio of friends coming with you or budget might affect your first choice in where you want to go.
Will you have to wait at door for a while? Can you RSVP? And if you RSVP does it mean anything? Might you still get rejected or have to wait at the door? Is there a backup nightclub closeby that you and your friends can walk to?
Luckily clubbing in Hollywood is pretty walkable although many don’t do it. The only reason people don’t walk is because in LA it’s just not cool. But if you want to club hop most all clubs are all within a few blocks within one 90028 zipcode. The weather will make it easier than in New York.
